Hi! I’m Leslie of Les Than Perfect.
Get it? I know… I know…
But seriously, I am. Because it’s way more fun this way. It’s tough out there, y’all. I’m a mom, a wife, a nurse, and a health coach. I have stuff going on. I’ve dealt with weight issues my entire life, I’ve just recently dealt with some major grief, and I don’t need the pressure to be perfect or to constantly be told that I’m not doing it right.
There are things being thrown at us right and left. Bright, shiny things being dangled in front of us. Confusing and conflicting information. The pressure out there is unbearable at times. Don’t you dare eat carbs, but also don’t eat any meat, so just eat vegetables, but no beans, oh and don’t forget the kombucha, the collagen, the green juice, except juicing is bad for you, the quinoa, oh wait that’s a carb and we don’t do carbs, and the kale. Definitely DO NOT forget the kale.
It’s exhausting. And it’s destroying us.
And to prove it, one day, in the midst of my third try at the keto diet, I almost passed out in the middle of the hallway.
Yes, the registered nurse turned health coach held on to the doorway for dear life and saw the years of dieting and failure and tears and thousands of dollars spent on products flash before her eyes.
And that’s when I decided to quit. No more diets, no more cleanses, no more extreme workouts, no more guilt, no more eliminating food groups, no more counting carbs/macros/calories/anything, and most importantly… NO. MORE. STRESS.
That’s how I got here. Because I don’t want you to go down that road. I want you to see that it doesn’t have to be so complicated. I want to show you that being LesThanPerfect is messy, fun, and good for you!
